艾利斯,阿尔伯特(Ellis,Albert 1931-?)美国心理学家。出生于美国，自1939年起开始研究性、爱、婚姻和家庭关系等问题，当时并未受过心理学的专业训练，年仅25岁。在涉足这些领域后，曾花了两年时间阅读了有关这些研究课题的约1万篇论文和著作。嗣后发现，自己能够对那些有着性或爱的心理障碍者提供咨询了。为了获得咨询资格，他发奋学习，终于在1947年获得哥伦比亚大学临床心理学哲学博士学位。
