陈爱莲，女，1978年生，博士，教授。于2008年8月同时获厦门大学应用数学博士学位和法国巴黎11大的信息科学博士学位。主要研究方向是随机图和随机超图理论，化学图论，代数图论及概率方法在组合中的应用。截止到目前，共主持国家自然科学基金1项，参与国家自然科学基金5项。共发表十几篇，其中SCI论文 10篇。
