鉴于以往关于写作前讨论如何影响写作的研究仍做得不够，笔者在此提出了一个递归语篇分析框架，并以此分析了47名ESL成人学生的写作前讨论及对他们写作的影响。研究表明：语言交际是学生自我陈述和他人陈述的动态思维过程。本研究对学生写作前课堂讨论、小组讨论中的各种陈述做了详细的纪录、分析和讨论，并区别了两种讨论对学生写作的影响。
