世界草地总面积52.5亿公顷,占地球陆地总面积的40.5%(不包括格陵兰岛和南极)。草地具有极其重要的生态功能和生产功能,储存了全球陆地生态系统有机碳总量的34%,其中约90%的碳储存在植物根系和土壤中。因此,厘清草地土壤有机碳形成、周转和稳定性维持与调控机制,提出基于自然的气候变化解决方案,提升生态系统保碳增汇能力,对于保障全球生态安全和食物安全,实现“双碳”目标具有重要的意义。
