中国人群IA的患病率约为6-7%。尽管IA破裂后所致的死亡率和残疾率均较高，但由于手术相关并发症（如脑梗死、术后出血等），积极的介入治疗或显微手术可能不能使未破裂IA患者获益，尤其是对于那些破裂风险较低的IA患者。因此，如何评估未破裂IA的稳定性（及IA的破裂或生长）对于制定这些患者的治疗决策起这重要的指导作用。
