近日，沈阳农业大学植物保护学院栾军波教授受法国昆虫生物学研究所Jérôme Casas教授以及美国俄亥俄州立大学David Denlinger教授的邀请，担任Current Opinion in Insect Science杂志编委。该杂志是昆虫学领域的Top期刊（5 year IF = 6; JCR分区: 一区），报道昆虫学领域的最新研究进展和发展方向。
氮素是植物生长所需的大量营养元素之一，也是作物产量的重要限制因素。尽管氮元素在大气中含量丰富，但植物不能直接利用大气中的氮气，而一些微生物可通过生物固氮把氮气转化植物可直接利用的含氮化合物。生物固氮可分为三类：自生固氮，联合固氮和共生固氮，其中共生固氮是固氮效率最高的类型。根据固氮微生物的类型主要分为蓝细菌共生固氮、放线菌共生固氮以及根瘤菌共生固氮。
